COTABATO CITY - An alleged suspect in the Maguindanao massacre, identified as Kominie Inggo, was arrested around 6 a.m. last Saturday in Barangay Manongcaling, Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
The arrest was a joint operation by the 1st Mechanized Brigade, Maguindanao-Philippine National Police and the Central Mindanao Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.
Authorities recovered an M-14 rifle and live ammunitions from the suspect.
Inggo has an outstanding warrant of arrest issued by Quezon City Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes in connection with the 2009 massacre, which ended in the death of 58 civilians, including journalists.
The suspect has a P250,000 bounty to his head.
Inggo is now in the custody of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
