MANILA, Philippines – Four suspected members of the "Ampatuan Carnap Group" have been arrested in Manila, police said Wednesday.

The suspects were identified as Kahlil Hebram, Marvin Christian Morebo, Erwin Bermudez, and Omar Diamla.

The group is allegedly responsible for a series of motorcycle heists in Manila, authorities said.

Hebram was first arrested in Tayuman St., Sta. Cruz, after police received a tip that the suspect was seen loitering in the area.

A stolen motorcycle and a .45 caliber handgun were recovered from him.

Hebram revealed the location of the 3 other suspects.

They were arrested in a follow-up operation in Consuelo St., Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Police said the group is named "Ampatuan" because the suspects point their guns to the victims before taking their vehicles. -- Report from Henry Atuelan, dzMM
