MANILA - A 48-year-old female civil engineer from Zamboanga del Sur yesterday claimed the P78.7-million jackpot of the 6/45 Mega Lotto draw last Jan. 31, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, said the lucky player hit the six-digit winning combination of 7-14-16-19-32-38 which had a jackpot of P78,792,740.

Rojas said the winner, who has been a lotto fan since 1995, bet P40 for a “lucky pick.”

“She plans to invest in business, save for her children’s education, and renovate her house,” Rojas said.

He said two lucky players from Legazpi and Lucena cities have yet to claim their share of the P27.8-million jackpot of the 6/42 lotto draw last Jan. 30.
