MANILA -- Police released on Wednesday computerized special composite illustrations of the two suspects in the shooting of Mayor Salvador Pillos of Marcos, Ilocos Norte.

Police said the illustrations were based on the descriptions given by Pillos and three other witnesses.

Both suspects were described as at least 5'5'' to 5'6'' in height, have brown complexion and medium build.

Copies of the illustrations were distributed to police stations across Ilocos Norte and other nearby provinces to speed up the arrest of the two gunmen.

Police said they will also give reward money to anyone who can give information that could lead to the suspects' arrest.

Pillos is now in safe condition after sustaining gunshot wounds in his arm and foot on Monday. He avoided being shot further by hiding inside his van.

Pillos said he believes the ambush attempt was politically motivated. He is seeking a third term as mayor of Marcos in the upcoming mid-term elections. -- Report from April Rafales, ABS-CBN Ilocos Norte
