MANILA -- A taxi driver was allegedly held up by his two passengers in Brgy. Calunan Grande in Davao City.

The driver, Randy Lino, went to the Sta. Ana Police Station to report the incident.

According to Lino, he picked up his two passengers in Brgy. Obrero and asked to be brought to Skyline in Brgy. Calunan Grande.

When they arrived, the passengers took out knives, threatened him, and took his P3,000 earnings.

However, Sta. Ana policemen wondered why Lino traveled for almost an hour to reach their station when he could have reported the incident to the nearer Talomo Police Station, which covers the area where he was held up.

According to PO2 Al Basirul, they have received reports that some taxi drivers pretend to have been robbed to avoid paying the boundary for the taxi.

They advised Lino to report the incident to Talomo Police Station for proper investigation. -- report from Danjo Revilla, ABS-CBN News Southern Mindanao
