Isabela Governor Grace Padaca has expressly declared her intention to run for a seat in the Senate in the 2010 elections.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, the Isabela governor said she and her other allies in Kaya Natin, a reform-oriented movement, are not turning their backs to future challenges in public service.
This, according to Padaca, is an affirmation of their advocacy to serve the country.
Padaca, however, laughed at rumors that she is also eyeing the presidential race.
In his visit to Isabela last week, former Senator Ernesto Maceda said the governor is one of the 17 possible presidentiables in 2010.
Meanwhile, the governor has also expressed her support for Congressman Edwin Uy, who is planning to run for governor of Isabela..
