5,000 passengers stranded in Manila due to 'Basyang'

MANILA -- Around 5,000 passengers got stranded in Manila after the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) cancelled 4 trips bound for Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro due to tropical storm "Basyang."

Cancelled trips were:

MV St. Joan of Arc bound for Bacolod;
MV Princess of the South bound for Cebu;
MV St. Leo the Great also bound for Cebu;
MV St. Michael the Archangel bound for Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.

Meanwhile, hundreds of passengers also got stranded at the Matnog Port in Sorsogon after the PCG declared a "no trip" for all kinds of sea vessels bound for the Visayas.
