ILOILO CITY -- At least 13 high school students of the Central University of the Philippines remain hospitalized for inhaling an unknown chemical on Wednesday.
A total of 138 students were rushed to the hospital after falling ill in the middle of a program held at the Rose Memorial Hall in their school.
All the victims fell dizzy, felt tight-chested, and experienced stomach pains.
The City Health Office and the police have yet to determine what chemical was inhaled by the students, but they are looking into the possibility that freon from the school's air conditioning unit may have leaked and was possibly inhaled by the victims. - Report from Nony Basco, dzMM
