MANILA, Philippines – Three alleged robbers were killed in a police operation in San Pedro, Laguna before dawn Wednesday.
Supt. Chito Bersaluna, chief of San Pedro police, said the victim sought for help after his motorcycle and other valuables were taken at gunpoint by three motorcycle-riding men.
The police then set up checkpoints in the area. They encountered and exchanged gunfire with the suspects along New Year's Avenue in Barangay GSIS at around 1:30 a.m.
Two suspects died on the spot, while the third one succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
The slain suspects have yet to be identified.
