CEBU -- A 16-year-old boy filed a complaint Tuesday at the Talisay City Police Station in Cebu against a policeman who allegedly strangled him and hit him in the stomach.
The minor, who works as a truckboy, told authorities that he was clearing rocks from the bags of sand on board a truck when he accidentally hit the policeman, who was coming out of a subdivision on board his motorcycle.
Visibly irked, the policeman halted the truck, and ordered the boy to come down.
The policeman then allegedly threw sand on the teenager's face, strangled him, and punched him in the stomach.
The victim, however, was not able to take down the name of the policeman, who was wearing his general office attire during the time of incident.
Talisay Police Chief Supt. Resty Santos said they will still investigate the incident, identify the police officer and have him answer the complaint.
