MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – Three alleged members of the Ozamis robbery group were arrested by authorities in Cogeo, Antipolo City on Wednesday.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Anti-Organized Crime Division arrested the suspects inside the group’s alleged safehouse at around 6 p.m.
Recovered inside the house were a shotgun, grenades and ammunition.
Authorities said their target, Casey Aniceto, was the one tasked to hurl a grenade during heists to divert police attention.
However, they failed to arrest Aniceto in the operation. He remains at large.
The group is allegedly behind the robberies in Robinsons Metro East, Alabang Town Center and branches of LBC in Metro Manila and Cavite. -- Report from Jenny Reyes, ABS-CBN News
