Domestic flights cancelled anew as LPA lingers

MANILA – Several domestic flights were cancelled anew on Wednesday due to bad weather brought by the low pressure area (LPA) which has been lingering near the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

On Twitter, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said the following flights were cancelled:

5J-391D Manila -Cagayan de Oro
5J-392D Cagayan de Oro – Manila
5J-821 Manila - Virac
5J-822 Virac - Manila
5J-397 Manila - Cagayan de Oro
5J-398 Cagayan de Oro – Manila

PAGASA said as of 4 a.m., the LPA was spotted 100 kilometers east of Borongan, Eastern Samar.

The regions of Bicol, Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and landslides.

CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be cloudy with isolated light rains.
