Western Union, LBC branches in Cavite robbed

MANILA, Philippines -- A Western Union branch and an LBC branch in Bacoor, Cavite were robbed by several men Tuesday noon, police said.

The Cavite police said a branch of Western Union in Molino was first robbed of cash by at least six suspects.

After about ten minutes, an LBC branch along Barangay Bayanan was robbed by at least three men.

Authorities have yet to determine the amount of cash stolen by the suspects from both the Western Union and LBC branches.

Police so far have arrested two of the suspects.

They are now conducting pursuit operations against the other suspects.

Police said they will review the footage of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed at the Western Union and LBC branches to identify the suspects. -- Report from Eric Dastas, dzMM
