MANILA – A Cebu Pacific plane encountered trouble in Legazpi City Airport on Monday morning.
Joel Chavez, air traffic controller of Legazpi City Airport, said the nose wheel gear of the Cebu Pacific plane suddenly did not work after the aircraft landed at the airport's Runway 6 at 6:00 a.m.
Chavez said 101 passengers of Flight 321 from Manila had to be brought to the terminal via a bus.
The plane was removed from the runway at 6:50 a.m.
Following the incident, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said Cebu Pacific flights 5J-322 (Legazpi -Manila), 5J-323 (Manila – Legazpi), and 5J-324 (Legazpi – Manila) were cancelled.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said it will investigate the incident. – report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
