MANILA - The local government of San Nicolas town, Ilocos Norte is offering a P20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the gunman whose stray bullet killed a two-year-old boy during the New Year revelry.

The family of Rhanz Angelo Corpuz said they have already accepted his fate. But his mother, Aniceta, said they will not stop fighting until justice is served for the boy's death.

The boy was sleeping inside their home in Barangay 3, San Nicolas town when he was hit by a stray bullet at 12:05 a.m. on New Year's day.

The bullet, which pierced through the ceiling of the house, hit the boy in the head.

He died on Thursday after two days of being in a coma.

Police said they already have the bullet that killed the boy. This will be cross-matched with the guns of licensed owners living near the Corpuz family's house.
