MANILA, Philippines - The number of crimes nationwide fell in November, in contrast to the common belief that more criminals strike during "-ber" months when the year is about to end.

Philippine National Police spokesman Agrimero Cruz said, based on PNP National Crime Environment statistics, the number of crimes was the lowest in November and was highest at 22,502 in March.

Cruz said the total crime volume was 230,818 this year, down 20% from 324,083 in 2010.

Maski sa probinsya dahil tag-ani," he said.
