The defacing of the website occurred after two massive fires hit residential areas in Quezon City and San Juan on Christmas day.

In Barangay Bungad, Quezon City, six family members and their house helper died after fire engulfed a row of apartments before dawn on December 25.

Meanwhile, at least 2,000 families were rendered homeless on Christmas day after fire razed at least 500 houses in Barangay St. Joseph, San Juan.
