MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday granted the wish of an 8-year-old boy suffering from leukemia to become a policeman.

Wearing a complete police uniform, Christianel Dolosa of Hagonoy, Bulacan "reported for duty" to PNP Chief Alan Purisima in Camp Crame.

He was given a police badge and was also granted inspector rank.

Accompanied by his parents and siblings, Dolosa attended an orientation on the history, vision and values of the police service, and was given a tour of the PNP facilities, including the office of Purisima.

He also experienced being on patrol duty on board a police mobile patrol unit.

The PNP also gave him a patrol car toy and a toy jeepney.

The PNP was able to fulfill Dolosa's dream even just for a day through the international organization Wish Kid Foundation.

The Wish Kid Foundation aims to grant the wishes of children aged between 3 to 17 years old who are suffering from severe medical conditions. With a report by Gus Abelgas, ABS-CBN News
