MANILA, Philippines -- The Light Rail Transit will start operations on the holiday season like any normal weekday but will end operations earlier than the normal schedule, LRT Authority (LRTA) said on Wednesday.
In an advisory, LRTA Spokesperson Hernando Cabrera said LRT 1 and LRT 2 will start operations at 5 a.m. on December 24 and 31.
The last train of LRT 1 will leave at 8 p.m. and 7 p.m. on December 24 and 31, respectively.
Meanwhile, LRT-2's last trip on December 24 is at 8:30 p.m., when the last commercial train leaves Recto station for Santolan. The last train from Santolan bound for Recto will leave at 8 p.m.
On December 31, LRT 2's last train from Recto for Santolan will leave at 7:30 p.m. while the last trip from Santolan is at 7 p.m.
LRT 1 runs from Baclaran in Pasay City to Roosevelt in Quezon City, while LRT 2 stretches from Recto in Manila to Santolan in Pasig City.
