MANILA, Philippines – Two packages, which were declared to contain chocolate bars, were seized by the Bureau of Customs after it was revealed to contain gun parts.
Bureau of Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon said the packages contained 20 barrels of high-powered firearms amounting P30,000 each.
The packages were declared as chocolates to be sent to Bulacan.
Charges for violating the Tariff and Customs Code and Republic Act 8294 will be filed against the consignee. -- Report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
