MANILA, Philippines -- Three minors were rescued from a suspected sex den in Manila, authorities said.
The rescue operation was conducted after authorities received a report from Barangay Chairman Roland Gacula that the three women frequently check in at the Spring Motel along Recto Avenue.
The sex den was allegedly operated by Jomar Alimario who was immediately arrested by police.
The management of the Spring Motel, meanwhile, said it does not know what the three women do every time they check in at the motel.
The management also claimed that it was not aware of the ordinance banning minors from entering motels.
The Manila City government is now recommending that the motel be shut down due to the incident.
The rescued minors have been turned over to the local social welfare office. -- Report from Niko Baua, ABS-CBN News
