Woman jumps to death from Malate condo

MANILA, Philippines – An unidentified woman jumped off a condominium in Malate, Manila on Thursday evening.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage saw the woman riding the elevator of Grand Towers Manila Condominium from the 29th floor down to the 7th floor, where she jumped off.

No one among the occupants of the condominium knew the woman. No identification card was found in her possession.

SPO1 Gerry Rivera of the Manila Police District Homicide Division said the woman wore a maroon shirt and shorts bearing the logo of the University of the Philippines – Los Baños Institute of Human Nutrition and Food.

The woman was at least 19 years old, was 5'6" tall, and has long dyed hair, according to Rivera.

Rivera urged the public to call 524-4311 if they have additional information to give to eventually identify the victim.

The woman's remains are currently at the St. Ivan Funeral Homes in Escolta, Manila. – reports from Zhander Cayabyab and Noel Alamar, dzMM
