MANILA, Philippines – Another bus of the Nova Auto Transport was involved in an accident along EDSA on Friday.
Initial investigation by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) showed that the Nova bus with plate number TWL-713 crashed into a car on the northbound lane of EDSA, in front of Camp Aguinaldo Gate 3 at around 5:20 p.m.
The car’s driver was hurt in the incident and was rushed to the AFP Medical Center in V. Luna, Quezon City.
The bus driver, meanwhile, escaped on foot.
The incident caused heavy traffic along EDSA as authorities took an hour to remove the bus.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) earlier suspended the entire fleet of Nova for 30 days after several of its units were involved in a series of accidents.
The suspension has since been lifted. -- Report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
