MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – A 53-year-old man was gunned down by riding-in-tandem gunmen near the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the victim was seen talking on his cellphone at the corner of Timog and Tomas Morato when he was shot by the suspects at around 5:30 p.m.
The victim, identified as Hermie Herrera, died of a gunshot wound to the head.
He was wearing a light blue shirt, jeans, and rubber shoes.
Police said the victim was a resident of Biñan, Laguna, based on his driver’s license.
His remains were brought to the Saint Yves Funeral Services Co. in Kamuning.
The suspects on board a motorcycle, meanwhile, were able to escape.
