MANILA, Philippines – Two suspects on board a motorcycle were nabbed for reportedly robbing a Thai national in Pasay City.

Pasay City Police chief Manuel Turda said Edgardo Fontanilla and Alfredo Batino were arrested during their Oplan Sita along Leveriza Street.

Turda said the suspects were first accosted for not wearing their helmets.

Policemen at the checkpoint, however, noticed the suspects carrying a bag containing stolen items.

This prompted the officers to take Batino and Fontanilla to the police station.

Incidentally, the Thai victim, who works as a call center agent, was filing a complaint at the same station.

The Thai national positively identified Batino and Fontanilla as those who robbed him. -- Report from dzMM
