MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – The younger brother of Ramgen “Ram” Revilla, Ramon Joseph Bautista, and 2 other suspects are set to undergo inquest proceedings Tuesday regarding the murder of the aspiring politician and actor last Friday.

Speaking to ANC’s Headstart, Parañaque police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran revealed that Ramon Joseph Bautista, 18, is now under police custody after being tagged as one of the suspects in the killing of Ram.

Joseph was arrested at around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The police on Monday arrested two other suspects Michael Cruz Altia and Roy Francis Tolisora, alleged hired killers who reportedly wore Halloween masks in killing Ram Revilla.

Three other suspects remain at large and operations are ongoing to capture them, the police said.

Beltran declined to give more details about Joseph’s arrest, saying the investigation is ongoing.

He did not say if Joseph took part in the actual killing of Ram but said a witness admitted seeing the suspect taking part in the planning of Ram's murder.

Joseph has yet to submit his statement on the matter, according to Beltran. His family has availed the services of a lawyer for him.

Beltran said the police have dismissed politics, romantic feud or illegal drugs as motives behind the killing.

After the inquest proceedings, Beltran said police are set to file murder charges against the 3, who will then be sent to Parañaque City Jail.

Ram was shot and stabbed dead in his house in Phase 6, BF Homes in Parañaque City before midnight on Friday.

His girlfriend is now recovering at the Asian Hospital in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

According to Ram's sister, Ramona, the suspects first shot Manahan and then shot and stabbed Ram 11 times.

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. offered on Saturday a P500,000 reward for information that would lead to the arrest of those involved in the killing of his half-brother. - with ANC, dzMM; Zyann Ambrosio, ABS-CBN News
