MANILA, Philippines - The government is prepared for the expected exodus for the All Saints Day and the long holiday weekend, a Palace official said Tuesday.

"Nakaalerto na po 'yung mga ahensiya natin: ang PNP, ang MMDA, ang DOTC at 'yung mga kaakibat pa po nating ahensiya dahil po doon sa taunan ding paglabas dahil nga po four-day long weekend itong haharapin natin mula Thursday hanggang Linggo" said deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is tasked to handle metro traffic while the PNP National Capital Region Police Office has been ordered to ensure that no untoward incident will happen while people visit cemeteries.

President Benigno Aquino is expected to pay his respects to his late parents.

Valte said they will not anounce the schedule of the President on that day.

"As I mentioned over the weekend, hindi po natin ii-include doon sa schedule ng Pangulo kung sakaling bibisita po sila sa puntod ng kanyang pumanaw na ama't ina para mabigyan naman po ng konting pagkakataon ang Pangulo at saka ng kanyang pamilya to say their prayers in private," she explained.
