Cebu Pacific cancels flights due to 'Ofel'

MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific Air cancelled several flights on Wednesday due to bad weather caused by tropical storm “Ofel”.

Through its official Twitter account [https://twitter.com/CebuPacificAir], the airline announced that the following flights have been cancelled:

  • 5J 653/654 Manila-Tacloban-Manila
  • 5J 657/658 Manila-Tacloban-Manila
  • 5J 659/660 Manila-Tacloban-Manila
  • 5J 787/788 Manila-Butuan-Manila
  • 5J 339/340 Manila-Kalibo-Manila
  • 5J 249/250 Cebu-General Santos-Cebu
  • 5J 869/870 Cebu-Ozamiz-Cebu
  • 5J 223/224 Cebu-Butuan-Cebu
  • 5J 428/429 Cebu-Tacloban-Cebu
  • 5J 875/876 Cebu-Surigao-Cebu
  • 5J 877/878 Cebu-Siargao-Cebu
  • 5J 156/157 Iloilo-Tacloban-Iloilo

The airline said it is re-accommodating its guests on the next available flights.

“You may also choose to rebook for travel within 30 days without penalties,” the airline said.

The storm made landfall in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte Wednesday morning and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday.
