MANILA, Philippines - A university student was allegedly stabbed by a group of men while inside the campus in Manila, dzMM reported Saturday.
The Manila Police District-Station 5 identified the victim as Kevin Roy Castro, 21, of Tondo, Manila.
Police said about 6 to 7 male suspects allegedly stabbed the Information and Technology student on Wednesday afternoon inside one of the buildings of the Adamson University.
The police report was filed a day after the incident.
Castro was brought to the San Juan de Dios Hospital and was discharged the following day.
However, hospital staff declined to give further information regarding the injuries sustained by the victim.
The university's security personnel said they are not at liberty to disclose anything.
Early this month, Joanne Lourdes Concepcion Reyes of the University of Sto. Tomas was stabbed by at least four female suspects inside the Far Eastern University in Morayta, also in Manila.
A police report said the victim had just left the university's auditorium when she was blocked by the suspects wearing nursing uniforms, according to one of her companions.
