MANILA, Philippines – Fake Skullcandy headsets were confiscated by authorities in separate raid operations in Manila on Thursday.
The seized counterfeit goods are estimated to cost P3.3 million, authorities said.
Several stalls at the 168 mall and 999 mall in Divisoria were raided by officials of the National Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
A warehouse in Binondo, where the headsets were kept, was also raided.
Authentic Skullcandy headphones are usually priced from P1,000 to P5,000, but the fake ones are sold at a much cheaper price.
“Maraming complaint na pangit ang quality, merong di tumutunog, at nasusugatan ang tenga nila...’yan mga ang peke,” said the company’s representative Ron Basilio. -- Report from ABS-CBN News
