MANILA, Philippines – A Chinese man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (AIDSOTF) in a Parañaque City mall on Friday.
The suspect, identified as Benny Chua Ang, was allegedly caught with around 4 kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P20 million.
Authorities said the suspect has been the subject of a month-long surveillance operation.
They said an undercover agent initially purchased a kilo of shabu from the suspect in the buy-bust conducted at the parking lot of Uniwide Coastal Mall.
But upon apprehension, an additional 3 kilos of shabu were found in the suspect's possession.
Authorities believe that the drug bust is a big blow to the operation of illegal drugs in Metro Manila. -- Report from Jeck Batallones, ABS-CBN News
