MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – A man died after he was hit by a train in Sampaloc, Manila Wednesday morning.
SPO1 Vallente Alvarez Manila Police District Station 4 said the victim, identified as Sergio Salazar, was telling some playing children to get off the southbound railroad tracks along G. Tuazon Street.
However, Salazar was hit by an approaching train on the northbound tracks where he was standing.
A security guard reportedly tried to tell Salazar about the approaching train, but it was too late.
Salazar was rushed to the Ospital ng Sampaloc but was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors. – report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
