MANILA, Philippines – Ten alleged robbers targeting passengers of public Asian Utility Vehicles (AUV) were arrested in various parts of Metro Manila last Saturday.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Leonardo Espina said the Parañaque police arrested the following alleged robbers in separate operations last October 6:
Almario Rentillosa (Parañaque)
Luiz Bondoc (Batasan, Quezon City)
Ronelyn Consorte (Masinag, Antipolo)
Jonalyn Sarmiento (Masinag, Antipolo)
Janice Brillatica (Masinag, Antipolo)
Arvin Manal (Masinag, Antipolo)
Espina said there were four suspects initially arrested the same day, bringing the total number of arrested robbers to 10.
He lauded the efforts of the Parañaque police for the successful operations.
"We will continue to make arrests of criminals and deliver the police services our people deserve," Espina said.
"Kapag may krimen na naganap, aming pananagutin sa batas ang may sala," he added.
Various valuables and firearms were recovered from the suspects.
