MANILA, Philippines – Authorities are now considering the robbery case involving ABS-CBN account executive Jade Gonzales as solved after they were able to determine the names and whereabouts of the crime’s suspects.

While Mandaluyong City Police Chief Senior Superintendent Armando Bolalin refused to disclose the names of the suspects, he said the two are also just from Mandaluyong and both are only 21 years old.

Bolalin also said one of the suspects has a warrant of arrest for a carnapping case.

The Mandaluyong police are confident they will be able to arrest the suspects considering that this case is among their priorities.

Meanwhile, two weeks after the robbery and shooting, Gonzales’ family said that they are not satisfied with the way the police are solving the case.

Gonzales’ family said the police are not moving fast enough to capture the suspects.

The family said Gonzales, who underwent a surgery due to a sustained bullet in his elbow, is still in trauma even after he went out of the hospital.

His family said Gonzales is set to return to the hospital again to undergo another operation where a titanium plate will be placed in his arm.

Pedro Orpiano, Gonzales’s companion during the robbery, on the other hand, remains at the Mandaluyong City Medical Center. – from a report by Dennis Datu, dzMM
