MANILA, Philippines – At least 15 families lost their houses after a fire hit a residential area in Barangay Vasra, Quezon City before noon Thursday.
Quezon City Fire Marshal Bobby Baruelo said the fire started at around 11 a.m. at a residential area along Molave Street.
The fire reached the third alarm, and was declared out at 11:45 a.m.
The fire reportedly began at the house of a certain Amelia Fariñas.
However, fire officials have yet to determine its cause since no one was inside the house when the fire erupted.
No one was reported hurt in the incident.
Fire officials estimate the cost of the damage from the fire at about P500,000. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
