MANILA, Philippines – A group of teenage robbers allegedly mauled a teenage girl in Quezon City on Monday.
Col. Marcelino Pedroso, chief of Quezon City Police Station 10 in Kamuning, said the victim was on her way home when she and her friend were blocked and then mauled by a group of teenage boys.
The boys then took the victim's cellphone.
Two of the robbers were arrested after they were spotted by the victim and the police near EDSA just after the mauling incident.
Pedroso said the two children were also those who complained that they were whipped by a guard with chains.
The children have been turned over to the local social welfare office for rehabilitation. – report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
