MANILA, Philippines – The Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against 8 suspects in the robbery of Robinsons Metro East mall in Pasig City last June.
According to Pasig Police chief Sr. Supt. Mario Rariza, the suspects are facing charges of robbery with three counts of frustrated homicide.
Three of the suspects were identified as Julius Baluarte alias “Itim”, Joey del Monte, and security guard Ronualdo Magno.
Along with 5 others, the suspects are accused of robbing an armored van of Robinsons Bank, taking with them more than P500,000.
Three security guards were wounded in the incident.
Rariza said they are now waiting for the issuance of the arrest warrants for the suspects, who are allegedly members of the Ozamis robbery group. -- Report from Arnell Ozaeta, dzMM
