MANILA – Slain advertising manager Kristelle ‘Kae’ Davantes was strangled and stabbed to death, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory said on Thursday.
Based on the autopsy, the 25-year-old Davantes died due to “asphyxia consistent with strangulation” and “multiple stab wounds in the neck.”
Her body was found under a bridge in Barangay Sabutan, Silang, Cavite on Saturday.
She was last seen leaving Bonifacio Global City late Friday on her Toyota Altis. The vehicle remains missing.
Police are still clueless on the motive behind the killing.
“Marami tayong angles na pinu-pursue, and from these angles, it will give us leads,” said National Capital Region Police Office Director Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo.
Police said finding the victim’s car will help them find leads on the case.
“Hindi natin alam kung pinatay siya doon sa bridge na ‘yun, maraming possibilities eh,” said Supt. Christopher Laxa, head of Task Group Kae.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is also helping the PNP in the investigation. -- Report from Gus Abelgas, ABS-CBN News
