Young couple gunned down in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines – A young man and his girlfriend celebrating their “monthsary” were shot to death outside the former’s home in Quezon City.
The Moralde family was just enjoying a get together when they heard several gunshots.
They then immediately ran out of the house. It was there that they saw 19-year-old Marlon and his 14-year-old girlfriend Marian lying on the floor.
Two suspects fled the crime scene using a motorcycle.
Marlon's mother, Magdalena, couldn't contain her anger and grief.
"Dapat mahuli sila at makulong, dapat mamatay din sila. Makatao ba ang kanilang ginawa basta na lang sila pumatay,” she said.
The members of the Moralde family are clueless as to the reason for the shooting.
They said Marlon never really got into any fight and did not have a hard time getting along with anyone.
Initial investigations revealed that two guns may have been used to kill the victims. Found from the crime scene were bullet casings from a .45 caliber and a 9-millimeter gun.
A follow-up operation will be conducted by the police to locate the two suspects. - report from Bettina Magsaysay, ABS-CBN News
