MANILA - The Bureau of Immigration is now checking its database for the travel records of Dahlia Guerrero Pastor, wife of slain car racer Enzo Pastor, after she became a suspect in her husband's murder.
Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison said Mrs. Pastor is now a person of interest and will be subjected to clearance from the Department of Justice if she will appear in any port of exit.
Mison said the bureau has the authority to question any person or passenger considered a person of interest. However, he said this is not a guarantee that the person will be barred from leaving the Philippines.
Immigration is now checking its records on Pastor's recent travels.
Police have linked Pastor's wife to the crime after the alleged gunman, Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel, confessed.
In his confession, Angel said he was paid P100,000 by businessman Domingo de Guzman to kill Pastor. He said De Guzman and Pastor's wife were seeing each other.
De Guzman, who operates a car shop, has denied the allegations.
Police said De Guzman, Angel and Pastor's wife will face criminal charges. With Raoul Esperas
