MANILA (UPDATED)-- Operations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT)-1 and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) were stalled Wednesday due to technical difficulties.
Passengers were asked to disembark from a train in Pedro Gil station after its doors malfunctioned.
According to the passengers, they noticed that the doors failed to close. They were asked to disembark after the train operators failed to fix the problem.
Meanwhile, MRT is experiencing problems anew, this time due to flooded tracks.
MRT spokesperson Atty. Hernando Cabrera said as of 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, MRT trains will only run from North Avenue Station to Shaw Boulevard Station and back as tracks between Ayala and Buendia Stations are flooded.
MRT full line operations were restored at around 4:36 p.m.
