MANILA - A southbound train of the Philippine National Railways was derailed past 9 a.m. Monday.
PNR spokesman Paul de Quiros said a bogey of one of the coaches of the southbound train was derailed at 9:21 a.m. The train stopped between the España and Sta. Mesa stations.
The PNR technical team on site said the bogey is relatively easy to return on the track. The team expects to finish work by noon or shortly after.
De Quiros said the PNR is still running normally.
Trains running on the southbound track are transferred on the northbound track when passing through the area where the other train stalled.
