MANILA, Philippines – A bloodied dubber who works for ABS-CBN cried for help from the ABS-CBN guards at the Eugenio Lopez Jr. (ELJ) Tower after he sustained two suspected gunshot wounds in the face before Sunday noon.
According to the victim who was identified as Christian Velarde, he just parked his car in front of the ELJ Tower and he was about to step out of his car when something suddenly hit his face from the glass of his door.
Velarde said he then realized that his right face was bleeding, adding that he still tried to check where the shot came from but he cannot figure it out.
SPO1 John Sales said the incident remains a mystery to them as they were not able to recover any gun slugs.
This despite the obvious gunshots in Velarde’s car glass. There was also no one outside the ELJ who heard the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
The security department of ABS-CBN, however, refused to release the CCTV of what happened.
ABS-CBN’s security department said the CCTV was not able to catch the incident outside the ELJ Tower. – from a report by Pia Gutierrez, ABS-CBN News
