MANILA - Strong winds and intermittent rains tore off three steel window frames from a unit at the 32nd floor of One Beverly Place Condominium along Annapolis, Greenhills, San Juan around 8 a.m. Thursday.
The broken steel window frames fell on at least 13 vehicles parked or passing in front of the condominium.
Several pedestrians were injured, including construction foreman Alfonso Nanza, who was passing nearby and walking to his work place in a nearby building.
He sustained injuries on the back of his neck. He was brought to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the ceiling of a black Honda Civic car was smashed and windows of several taxis were shattered.
The condominium is under Alexandria Realty Corp. owned by Marilyn Limjoco.
Greenhills sector commander Senior Inspector Virgilio Santiago said the condominium's steel window frames are already old.
Santiago said the owner promised to pay for the damages and injuries brought about by the incident.
