MANILA (2nd UPDATE) – Far Eastern University (FEU) and FEU Institute of Technology (FEU Tech) suspended classes Thursday due to a bomb threat.

FEU security guards said they received a call from an anonymous person at around 11 a.m. saying that a bomb was planted inside the campus in Morayta, Manila.

This prompted university officials to call off classes for the rest of the day and order the closure of the campus gates.

FEU students and faculty members immediately left the campus, resulting in heavy traffic around the university.

At around 2:30 p.m., Manila Police personnel and bomb experts declared the campus bomb-free.

The university administration said regular classes and operations will resume on Friday, August 1. – with a report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
