Pacquiao's new hat: Rotary president in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Professional boxer and Congressman Manny Pacquiao added another feather in his cap by becoming the new president of the Rotary Club of Manila 101 District 3810.

Pacquiao took his oath on Tuesday night with Vice President Jejomar Binay in attendance.

The Sarangani representative is thankful for the trust given to him by the Rotary members.

Pacquiao said he is one with Rotary Club in its campaign to help the poor.

“Malaking karangalan ito... thank you sa tiwala. maganda 'yung adhikan [ng samahan] na magbigay ng tulong sa mga mahihirap,” he said.

Pacquiao, meanwhile, said he has yet to make a final decision on his choice of opponent for a scheduled November 10 fight.

He said he will have discussions with his promoter Bob Arum, who is flying to Manila next month. – With a report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News
