MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang on Tuesday expressed its condolences to the family and loved ones of former tourism official and journalist Nixon Kua, saying it will continue to monitor his case.
Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said the Palace expects the speedy resolution of the case, pointing out that four suspects are under police custody.
Kua, 49, was parking his car near the house of his brother Allyson, 47, in Greenfield Subdivision in Laguna last Saturday when he was shot by four armed men during a heavy downpour.
Four suspects later surrendered to the police after the killing. Laguna police chief Gilbert Cruz said the robbers were positively identified by Kua’s wife Susan and 21 year-old daughter Sue Anne and son Daryl from the police photographs of crime suspects in Calamba City.
