Fire razes Chinese General Hospital building

MANILA - Fire hit a new building of Chinese General Hospital in Blumentritt Street, Sta. Cruz in Manila Wednesday night.

According to Supt. Jaime Fernandez, Manila Fire Marshall, the fire started at the electrical room in the ground floor of the hospital's new building.

The fire started at 7:18 p.m. and was put out by 8:05 p.m.

The fire caused power shortage in the building, and patients in the upper levels of the building had to be relocated.

The hospital administrators have yet to release a statement about the relocation of their patients.
