Manila cops get new cars
MANILA, Philippines - Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada led the turnover ceremonies of 12 new Nissan Almera cars to the Manila Police District.
The new vehicles will be converted into police mobile units.
Estrada said that there are more to come as well as 15 additional pick-ups for the use of police stations.
He said that the former administration in Manila left a lot of gaps in its governance and he's now slowly filling them.
Estrada also drew cheers from the crowd after he promised to give additional financial allowances to the police.
