MANILA -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has raised the full alert status in all units in preparation for President Benigno Aquino III's State of the Nation Address on Monday, July 22.
Under the full alert status, leaves of absence are cancelled and all police officers are required to report to their duty stations.
In an interview with radio dzMM Saturday morning, NCRPO chief Marcelo Garbo said they have also coordinated with the Quezon City Police and the Presidential Security Group to ensure security measures are in place.
Garbo said he has also instructed police officers to observe maximum tolerance in dealing with protesters. -- dzMM, July 20, 2013
